Meet André Small,
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, MBA
You may be wondering if you are on track
Most people do not come looking for a financial planner because everything is going perfectly. They usually come because they have built something meaningful, they know they need a better plan, and they want a trusted second opinion before making an important decision.
That is who A Small Investment is built for. We help those that are working toward financial independence, considering work optional life, or trying to understand whether they are truly ready for retirement.
When someone usually reach out
You may be at a point where your finances are more complicated than they used to be, but not complicated enough to want a big-firm sales process. You may have a good income, assets in several accounts, questions about taxes, retirement timing, or whether your current plan is actually moving you toward the life you want.
You may also feel unsure about whether you are missing something important. Many of the clients who work with me are not looking for a miracle; they are looking for clarity, context, and a calm process that helps them make smarter decisions with less noise.
An ideal client community
That is where my firm and I come in. A Small Investment provides advice-only, fee-only financial planning with no commissions, no AUM fees, and no product sales.
My role is to help you:
- See the full picture.
- Spot blind spots before they become expensive.
- Make decisions with more confidence.
- Get an unbiased second opinion on what you are already doing.
My role as a financial planner is simple: bring clarity, structure, and steady guidance to decisions that affect your freedom and your future.
Get to know me
My background in finance, leadership, and planning helps me connect technical details to real life decisions. But more importantly, I believe financial planning should feel understandable, practical, and human.
I built this firm to give people the kind of advice I would want for my own family: direct, thoughtful, and grounded in their best interests.
Fueled by Faith, Family, and sharing my passion for finance. I am a proud Husband, Father, and Son.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Houston and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from the University of Houston – Victoria.
I am a Certified Financial Planner™, and previously held a Series 7 license (no longer directly managing client’s assets) and currently maintain a Series 66 license (providing timely and actionable advice).
